My name is Michelle, I am a qualified eating disorder recovery coach, certified by the Carolyn Costin institute. I work with local clients in-person and via video conferencing worldwide.
Serving and working as an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach is one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my life. HELPING my clients transform and heal their relationship with food and their body is what I am passionate about.
My role as a recovery coach is to HELP clients adopt new healthy skills and tools to replace old disordered patterns. Working together, I would love to HELP you to move towards a life of more freedom, self-acceptance, authenticity and joy.
“You can’t ‘just eat.’ The world inside your head is so twisted and controlling, a prison of black and white; it makes you fear every aspect of your life outside of your ‘control.’”
“It’s not about the food or weight — it’s deeper than that.We use the eating disorder to mask something underlying. This isn’t a choice ora lifestyle.”
“When someone says, ‘You don’t look like you have an eating disorder,’ it’s extremely triggering. You don’t have to be under weight to have an eating disorder.”
“Even if you appear ‘healthy,’ you may not be… physically and emotionally. Eating disorders manifest in many ways.”
Recovery Coaching sessions are a great opportunity for us to establish and work toward recovery goals, learn new healthy coping mechanisms and recovery skills, and build your life beyond the eating disorder.
The coaching sessions are tailored to your unique needs and challenges in recovery.Whether you are feeling anxious about going out to eat, uncertain about what to order, scared about eating in front of others, and/or anxious during the eating experience, meal support coaching can help!
Need help preparing meals and snacks in advance? Is preparing and portioning meals at home difficult? I can help you.
At home cooking is designed to give you the accountability and confidence you need. I provide an opportunity for clients to practice normalised eating, challenge food fears, being mindful of hunger and fullness cues, process thoughts and feelings while eating together in a safe, structured environment.
